Drama (Education) in a Pandemic: The New Blog

The Context

Here we go again…I’m sporting a brand new teaching blog when I should be writing a case study on existential therapy. But I’ve got a lot rolling through my mind. Keep reading. You won’t want to miss this.

We start the 2020-21 school year with an American election to come and geopolitics like I have never seen. There’s a national lockdown in Saudi Arabia (still). By this, I mean, expats are not allowed back in until the pandemic is ‘over’, whatever that means, and social distancing is a real thing – though businesses are open. No one socializes much and we wear masks, by law, everywhere in public except for the compound I live on. Today, the news reports the first human was diagnosed with Covid a second time. Wow. Let that sink in.
